'The RAID® Masterclass' is a 3-day course from the Association for Psychological Therapies (APT), a leading provider of accredited courses for professionals working in mental health and related areas.
It is the only RAID® Masterclass training that is Delegate–Accredited and also gives you access to APT’s relevant downloadable resources for use post-course. The course is available for teams/organizations and can be attended face-to-face or online.
Executive Summary:
This is a course for people who have at least 6 months practice subsequent to receiving Level 1 APT Registration (often much more) in the RAID® approach.
In lectures, the masterclass provides more depth on some of the topics in the original course but is mainly focused on developing skill, based around the following components: listening to and making case presentations, watching selected videos, role-play/real-play where you interview others and they interview you, and establishing a stable system for support and development for yourself in RAIDing post course. The result is that you enhance your skill, insight and knowledge. Successful completion also gains you APT's Level 4 Registration in RAIDing.
Who should attend?
People who attend this course normally fall into one of two categories:
1. Professionals who lead a team of colleagues using the RAID® approach, and want to enhance their own knowledge and insight, in order to supervise or guide others.
2. 'Whole teams' (either in inpatient or community settings) seeking to develop a unified high level of proficiency in working with extremely challenging behavior.
The professional affiliations of people attending this course include: mental health/psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, probation officers and others working in a variety of settings including: Forensic and Secure settings, Adult Mental Health, and Children & Adolescents.

Live and interactive online course, delivered via Zoom or Teams exclusively for your team or organization. Price: $6,460 for a group of up to 15 people (price includes a workbook for every delegate, posted to one address, or a PDF version can be provided). Extra delegates $420 per person. Option 2: 'Train the Trainer': If you or a colleague are a senior professional (e.g. consultant psychologist) and have a talent for communication and teaching, then you are welcome to apply to become an APT-accredited tutor.
