Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a 3-day course from the Association for Psychological Therapies (APT), a leading provider of Positive Behaviour Support training for professionals working in mental health and related fields in the USA. It is the benchmark for professionals who want an excellent introduction to PBS which will enable them to understand it and use it straight away. It is also the gateway to further PBS training, including APT’s PBS Masterclass.
It gives you APT’s level one Accreditation in PBS, with the option of sitting an exam to obtain level two (free of charge) and from there through more study right up to APT's PBS Masterclass and level four Accreditation.

Executive Summary:
The course covers the background and rationale for PBS and then looks at understanding an individual’s needs, analysing their behavior and understanding the role it fulfils. Positive and proactive, the training will empower delegates to develop individual PBS plans aimed at improving their clients’ environment and wellbeing, thus decreasing the likelihood of disturbed behavior. What you receive as a result of attending this training:
You will be registered as having attended the course, thereby gaining APT's Level 1 accreditation, and receive a certificate to this effect. The accreditation gives you access to online resources associated with the course.
Your registration lasts indefinitely, and your accreditation lasts for 3 years and is renewable by sitting an online refresher which also upgrades your accreditation to APT Level 2 if you are successful in the associated online exam.
